Construction of the properties begins in April 2017. Peab is the contractor for the project. Of the new Lumo homes, 71 are single- and two-room apartments of various sizes. There will be 23 three-room apartments. The average living space area of the apartments is 43 sq.m.

In addition to the apartments, four street-level commercial premises are being built on the site, with a combined area of 517 sq.m. Parking spaces, which are leased from a parking company, are in the parking facility on the same site.

“The privately financed Lumo rental apartments being built at Koivu-Mankkaantie 1b are a good addition to the range of accommodation that we have on offer in Espoo,” says Real Estate Development Director Kim Jolkkonen of VVO Group.

“We have built several housing cooperatives for VVO Group in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area,” says Petri Salonen, Peab Group’s Unit Director of residential construction for Southern Finland.

The project is scheduled for completion in February 2019.
