Sirius Acquires Komppi in Ikaalinen

Finland — An affiliate of the Finnish real estate investment manager Sirius Capital Partners ("Sirius") has agreed to acquire retail centre Komppi, located in Ikaalinen in western Finland. Sellers are CastorCon Finland Oy, Veikko Laine Oy, Kehittämisyhtiö Ikaalisten Kylpyläkaupunki Oy and Matti Hiekka Oy.

The lettable area is approximately 7,000 sqm and the anchor tenants are Kesko and Tokmanni. Komppi was constructed by CastorCon Finland Oy.

"Komppi is a modern retail centre built in 2014. One of the anchor tenants is Kesko, which makes the investment an excellent addition to our portfolio, to which we are seeking grocery store-driven assets all around Finland", says Jonas Ahlblad, CIO of Sirius.

"The development of Komppi included design management, financing and project management and moreover we managed the asset for more than a year. This retail centre is a good example of successful cooperation between a private actor and the municipality. Now was the right time to divest the property to a new owner", says Risto Hiekka, CastorCon Finland Oy.

Vicus Capital Advisors Ltd and Attorneys JB Eversheds Ltd acted as the seller’s advisors in the transaction and Krogerus Attorneys Ltd as the buyer’s legal advisor.
