Alma acquires the development property Fålhagen 3:1, commonly known as Sivia Torg, with a unique location in one of Uppsala's most expansive areas and directly adjacent to Uppsala central station and Uppsala Konsert & Kongress. In 2018, a new detailed plan for the property won legal force, which enables a comprehensive development of both offices, commerce, restaurants, hotels and housing. Alma will take up the property on May 2, 2019, and carry out the acquisition together with Mässing Properties.

"For a long time, we have identified Sivia Torg as the most interesting development property in Uppsala. Our ambition is to achieve the full potential of the property in good cooperation with the municipality of Uppsala and other stakeholders in the area," says Simon de Château, Partner and CIO for Alma Property Partners.

"It feels incredibly exciting to work with Alma to develop one of the most central neighborhoods in Uppsala. We will create an attractive neighborhood and meeting place for Uppsala residents with a varied range of different activities that will bring more life and movement in the area," says Fredrik Mässing at Mässing Properties, who is responsible for the development of the neighborhood.

"We have worked with Sivia Torg for a long time, which is centrally located, in the middle of Uppsala. With opportunities for new offices, stores and restaurants, we see that the development of the property will contribute positively to central Uppsala. The interest in the property has been great and as Rikshem's focus is on continuing to develop housing and community properties, we consider it natural to now divest Sivia Torg," says Fredrik Edlund, regional manager Mälardalen, Rikshem.
