YIT, as part of the Bothnia High 5 alliance, has signed an implementation phase alliance contract on the construction of the new H Building of Vaasa Central Hospital. The total value of the contract is approximately EUR 140 million, of which YIT’s share is approximately EUR 123 million. The contract will be entered in the second quarter's order backlog.
The Bothnia High 5 alliance consists of YIT, Ramboll Finland, Raami Architects, Kontukoski Architects, Granlund Pohjanmaa and the Vaasa Hospital District.
The construction work starts immediately. The project’s implementation phase consists of the construction period and a five-year warranty period, which begins when the building is put into use. The new building will be put into use in 2022. The implementation phase was preceded by a development phase that began in December 2017 and involved planning, infrastructure works and preparatory work in the hospital area.
