“We are very proud to construct this unique hospital, which will benefit thousands of patients, relatives and employees. The client has from the outset focused on collaboration, so the conditions are highly favorable for a good outcome,” says Palle Bjerre Rasmussen, Head of NCC Building Nordics in Denmark.
The hospital will comprise a four-story, 118,000 square meter building. The project is already well known for its design, with a building that resembles a four-leaf clover from above. The hospital will be built in Hillerød.
NCC has extensive experience of hospital construction and of using digital tools to create sustainable and flexible projects. This fits in well with the wishes of Hovedstaden region for an efficient and digitalized construction process, which is to ensure a good overview of the project, time frame and budget.
“In a project of this magnitude, it is essential that all relevant information about the construction process is available to the parties involved. This imposes considerable demands on digital literacy skills, which we are convinced that NCC possesses,” says Henrik Schødts, Project Manager for the New North Zealand Hospital.
NCC will be the main contractor for the project. The budget for the New North Zealand Hospital is approximately SEK 3.4 billion. NCC and the New North Zealand Hospital will now draw up the details of the project and plan to sign an agreement during the fourth quarter. The project will be registered progressively during the project period in the NCC Building Nordics business area
