“We have already completed several successful transactions in Denmark together with local partners, including Keystone Investment Management, and we believe that the Danish market will continue to be an important part of our investment focus. With Hüseyin, we strengthen our local presence in one of our core markets and gain better access to interesting investment opportunities,” says Simon de Château, Founder and CIO of Alma Property Partners.

Meric joins from Sampension where he was Senior Portfolio Manager and a key member of the team managing a global portfolio of EUR 2.5 billion. His responsibilities included strategy, portfolio allocation, transactions and management. Prior to joining Sampension, Hüseyin worked for a Danish real estate investment company based in Copenhagen and London (SF Management) and Sadolin & Albæk (now Colliers).

“I am very pleased with the opportunity to be part of Alma's successful team and look forward to strengthening the company's presence in Denmark. Despite the competition, there is plenty of room in the Danish property market for a flexible investor like Alma. The team has shown strong performance in Fund I and has proven its ability to make good investments in the current market situation. I look forward to being involved and creating additional value for Alma's investors," says Hüseyin Meric.

Alma Property Partners is currently working on raising capital for its second real estate fund, which will be pan-Nordic with an opportunistic strategy. Alma expects to reach the target of EUR 250 million in equity in September, when the fund has its last closure. The fund, Alma Property Partners II, has already completed ten transactions within four investment themes in Sweden.
