PFA can now add another hotel to the Danish commercial property portfolio. There is a hotel project with fitness in Lyngby totaling 5,460 sqm. PFA's investment is just under DKK 200 million. Zleep Hotels and Fitness World become tenants.

“Our real estate investments are driven by international megatrends - including the growing demand for experiences and tourism. The hotel market at home is growing and the number of overnight stays is increasing. With the investment in the Lyngby hotel project, we are expanding our portfolio of Danish hotel properties. At the same time, the investment contributes to a good, long-term return on customers' pension savings," says Michael Bruhn, PFA's real estate director.

The hotel in Lyngby is the fifth hotel project that PFA invests in at home. PFA has already invested in Hotel Alsik in Sønderborg, Hotel Otillia in Carlsberg City and a hotel for Guldsmeden under construction on Gullfossgade in Copenhagen. In addition, PFA has undertaken to build a hotel in Hillerød with Zleep Hotels as operator.

The hotel project in Lyngby is under construction and will include hotel, hotel apartments and fitness when it is ready in July 2020.

“The hotel has a very good location close to the motorway and in an area of strong development with upcoming light rail, educational institutions such as DTU and international companies such as COWI and Microsoft. But the hotel supply in the area is relatively limited, which is why we also expect good demand when Zleep Hotel Lyngby opens next year, ”says Mikael Fogemann, head of Danish Property at PFA.

“It is my clear belief that the market in Lyngby is looking for a new hotel. A hotel with attractive prices, high quality facilities and not least with the possibility of a long stay. The area's large, international companies and DTU have many visitors every day, and they obviously need a hotel near their destination. Personally, I am very much looking forward to introducing the market for our new hotel apartments; Zleep Living, there are rooms you can actually move into - it's probably going to be big," says Peter Haaber, CEO of Zleep Hotels.

Developer and seller is Benjamin Capital.

“We are very pleased with our collaboration with PFA as a long-term owner and look forward to having them as a neighbor to our new car garage in Lyngby,” says Johnny Laursen, Benjamin Capital.
