SPORT 24 A / S and Sports Group Denmark A / S are two prominent and ambitious players in the sports and outdoor markets. Both companies are headquartered in Silkeborg, and within the next few years their new joint logistics center will also be located in Silkeborg Municipality.

And I look forward to following in the construction of the new, state-of-the-art logistics center, which will help to draw the business park of the future," says Silkeborg Municipality Mayor Steen Vindum.

The two sports companies will, stage wise, establish a 65,000 m2 logistics center over the next 3-4 years. The new center will ensure shorter delivery times, better work processes for the employees and a more sustainable logistics operation, thus making the construction a future-proofing.

"Both our companies are experiencing strong and stable growth. In order to continue to meet customers' wishes and needs in the future, we have chosen to invest massively in optimal logistics solutions. In Business Park Funder we get a central location close to the Silkeborg motorway, while at the same time we get a city-center location close to our headquarters in Silkeborg," says Lars Elsborg, director of SPORT 24.

Like SPORT 24 and Sports Group Denmark, several companies are on their way to establishing themselves in Business Park Funder. Earlier this year, the Camping Specialist and Elitecom started building in Funder.

"With the growing interest in Business Park Funder and the other highway-related business areas, we feel the significant importance of the Silkeborg motorway. Silkeborg Municipality has become an attractive business municipality, and SPORT 24 and Sports Group Denmark's new logistics center reinforce Erhvervspark Funder's image as a dynamic business area with good conditions for trading and logistics companies," says Steen Vindum.

In addition to the Business Park Funder, the highway-related business areas include Business Park North, the Business Corridor and the Business Park Hårup. Common to all areas is that within commuter distance, more than 600,000 potential employees and 1.2 million customers are accessible.
