224 stores, 3,700 paring spots, the first commercial Imax-cinema, Stockholm’s largest restaurant cluster and so much more. Mall of Scandinavia is a four-star shopping mall, which means that the service is above average.
– It means that we fulfill the 670 points, from there being hooks in the women’s restrooms to hang their purses on to the trash can being placed just under the paper container, says Lars-Åke Tollemark.
Mall of Scandinavia is like its own little city in the new Arenastaden in Solna. At the press preview yesterday the visitors got a chance to try the new state of the art Imax-cinema, with sound, screen and 3D-effects that made the audience breathless.
Gert Wingårdh, whose company Wingårdh Arkitektkontor was responsible for the mall’s interior, was also there.
– I like the fact that you can sneak between the nodes. Another thing I appreciate is The Designer Gallery, which is a possibility for new companies to enter the market.
The mall manager Lena Rune had woken early Thursday morning, but was still relieved that the day had come.
– It feels amazing. It really has turned out the way we wanted it. The cinema is really cool and it is great that Lego and Disney have opened their first Swedish stores here. I also love the fashion section.
