SBB's CEO Has Been Detained in Custody on Alleged Insider Dealing

Sweden — SBB has been informed by the Swedish Economic Crime Authority that the company’s CEO Ilija Batljan has been detained in custody on alleged violation of the Market Abuse Regulation.

The company has no additional information at this stage and does not know which company or security these allegations relate to. SBB's value on the stock market has been hit hard and the share was down 40 percent at worst. At 4 PM the share was down nearly 16 percent.

During Ilija Batljan’s absence, SBB’s deputy CEO Krister Karlsson will be acting CEO for SBB.

SBB was founded by Ilija Batljan in 2016 and owns properties in every Nordic market.

SBB's focus is long-term ownership of rental residentials in Sweden and social infrastructure properties and building rights in the Nordics. Ilija Batljan denies the charges directed at him, according to his lawyer.
