The pension company PFA and OK-Fonden have started the preparations for a nursing home with 75 homes, a senior housing community with 30 homes and 40 senior homes, and already in the early spring of 2021 the preparations will begin.

By bringing together the different types of housing in a small district, new and different opportunities are created for joint activities and interaction. The senior housing and the senior housing community are listed as so-called "Housing for Life". These are homes where you have the opportunity to stay for life, even if one day you need personal help and care.

The nursing home opens up in relation to the surrounding community and invites the residents of "Housing for Life". For example, by providing access to training facilities, to parties for the residents of the nursing home and to creative activities. A strong voluntary environment is supported, for the joy and benefit of all.

"At OK-Fonden, we are very pleased with the reception and the collaboration with Slagelse Municipality. We place emphasis on being welcome, and we certainly feel that we are in Slagelse. We look forward to the collaboration to receive a wide range of residents in our homes and not least citizens with care needs at the new nursing home. Our offer is based on the individual's needs, and that there must be as many choices as possible with us," says Ulrik Ahrendt-Jensen, CEO of OK-Fonden.

PFA is also very pleased with the collaboration with Slagelse Municipality.

"At PFA, we want to create a good framework for the good senior life. Among other things, by developing new and attractive forms of housing. Therefore, we are also really happy that we can now appoint Slagelse as the first location in our desire to build nursing homes and senior housing in up to 10 Danish municipalities together with the OK Foundation," says Jesper Brask Fischer, at PFA.

As part of the project, family homes and youth homes will also be built in parallel.
