After completion, the building will have an area of 36,000 sqm. It is fully leased to MatHem, and they will obtain a modern and sustainable production and logistics facility, well adapted to the growth phase which the company is undergoing. The new facility will be certified according to the Sweden Green Building Council environmental certification Miljöbyggnad, where the goal is to achieve the gold level, and it will be powered by a large solar cell installation. The project also includes an independent multi-story carpark of 9,000 sqm.

“We have had a positive dialogue with Niam during the agreement process and we look forward to continued good cooperation during the remaining year of the production period. There has been strong interest from various players in the logistics market, just as in our previous property sales. The MatHem property is the fifth in-house developed facility that we are selling this year and we have thus sold properties worth almost SEK 1.9 billion in 2020”, says Benn Karlberg, CEO of Logistic Contractor.

“With a high technical standard and attractive geographical location, this property is a good addition to our logistics portfolio. Logistic Contractor will develop a sustainable and modern logistics facility, which perfectly suits our future tenant, MatHem”, says Daniel Andersson, Head of Acquisitions Sweden at Niam.

Cushman & Wakefield and Werks Advokater have acted as consultants to Logistic Contractor in the deal.
