Rosendal is a newly developed area within cycling distance of Uppsala city center. The area is inspired by nature with lavish park areas, most playgrounds and other wonderful outdoor environments that encourage an active life in nature.
"We are very happy that we have handed over our project in Uppsala to a stable partner with whom we also have several collaborations in other places in Sweden. The project will be a nice addition to the Rosendal area and it feels good to be involved and contribute to more sustainable housing being built in the area," says Alexandra Meijer, Business Manager at Serneke.
"This will be our first investment in Uppsala and the project is in line with our business concept to develop and manage sustainable housing in regions with strong growth," says Claes Malmkvist, CEO of Lansa Fastigheter.
The project will include 202 rental apartments. The homes are designed for certification within Miljöbyggnad Silver, which includes requirements for low energy use and a focus on a better indoor environment for the residents. The roofs of the houses will be equipped with solar panels that, among other things, supply the property's charging stations for electric bicycles. The project is expected to be completed in mid-2024.
Florist is a housing project that Serneke has developed in close collaboration with Uppsala Municipality since the autumn of 2020. In September 2021, the building permit was granted by the Planning and Building Committee in Uppsala Municipality. Construction will start immediately. The real estate transaction and the contract have a total value of 462 million, of which the contract part is included in the order intake for the fourth quarter of 2021.
