Klara Appelqvist is passionate about sustainable urban development and has seven years’ experience of sustainability work in the property sector. After 11 years in the southern Swedish county of Skåne, the van load of furniture has gone to Gothenburg.
“Balder appeals to me in many ways, including the wide range of properties and the fact that it is a company with drive. There are great opportunities to reduce the sector’s environmental impact and it is also possible for us to have a positive social impact on the people who live and work in our properties,” says Klara Appelqvist, newly appointed Sustainability Manager at Balder.
“We are very happy to have Klara in place. Her knowledge and experience will be very valuable in the work to achieve our sustainability goals. Klara will be the driving force in developing the sustainability reporting,” says Balder’s Head of Finance Ewa Wassberg.
For Balder’s future sustainability work, it is important to continue implementing practical measures in both our existing properties and new production projects, while at the same time connecting the sustainability work with the financial reporting. The goal is that sustainability data should be reported just as clearly and be as easy to follow up as financial data.
Klara succeeds Camilla Holten who decided to leave the company last summer.
