Fokus Asset Management today announces the appointment of Michael Rønnelund as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Danish operations. Michael Rønnelund succeeds Morten Madsen, who has been appointed Nordic COO of Fokus Group Investments.

Michael Rønnelund has been with the firm since 2021 as Head of Fund Management, and has successfully streamlined our fund management operations, strengthened our client services and accelerated our ESG efforts.

"Michael’s strong leadership and management skills make him well-qualified to drive the growth of our Danish business", said Tonny Nielsen, Chief Executive Officer/Partner.

Morten Madsen, current COO/Partner of Fokus Asset Management, will assume a new position as Nordic Chief Operating Officer with Fokus Group Investments. This will allow Morten to fully execute on the group’s Nordic acquisition and growth strategy.

"Morten has done a great job in integrating and implementing operational efficiencies across the Danish organisation and it’s tremendous growth since 2016. Morten will now focus more on delivering our Nordic growth ambitions on behalf of our clients”, said Tonny Nielsen.

Michael takes on his new role effective February 1, 2023. Michael and Morten will work together to ensure a smooth handover.

At the same time, Tonny Nielsen, Chief Executive Officer/Partner, will divide his time equally as CEO of Fokus Asset Management and Nordic CEO for Fokus Group Investments, ensuring that both companies receive the full benefit of his leadership and expertise.

Fokus Group Investments has also recently appointed Emma Movitz as Nordic Chief Financial Officer and Martin Månsson as Nordic Chief Marketing Officer.

“Emma and Martin bring a wealth of invaluable operational, financial and communications experience to our Nordic management team and organisation, enabling us to pursue our ambition of building an even stronger presence in the Nordics. These appointments are another testament to our long-term commitment to our investors in establishing the Nordic’s premier investment and asset manager,” says Tonny Nielsen.
