Genesta expands its logistics portfolio and buys a 20,600 square meter logistics property under construction in Solrød, 25 minutes south of Copenhagen. It is an off-market deal with Logistic Contractor A/S, which is part of the Wästbygg Gruppen. It is Genesta's sixth logistics acquisition in two years.

"We are delighted with the acquisition, which fits perfectly into our fund strategy. Together with Logistic Contractor, we will develop an impressive logistics facility in an excellent location," says David Neil, Genesta's CEO.

The property is located in Solrød at the E20, and offers last-mile deliveries to Copenhagen, as well as efficient connections to both Sweden and the rest of Europe. The building is being developed with a strong focus on sustainability in line with the EU taxonomy and the environmental certification BREEAM with the aim of reaching the Excellent level. When the property is ready, Genesta can offer forward-looking companies a sustainable, modern and efficient logistics facility in one of the Nordic region's most sought-after logistics locations.

Preparatory ground work and detailed planning will begin already this autumn, and Genesta will take over the property at the end of 2024, approximately one year after the start of construction.

"It feels very positive that we received another assignment from Genesta. In the autumn, we will hand over Enköping Logistikcenter, an 80,000 square meter logistics facility to them. Although this building is not as large, it is similar in design," says Benn Karlberg, CEO at Logistic Contractor.
