The portfolio benefits from strategic locations southwest of Copenhagen, in proximity of the E20 motorway. Seven properties are located at Avedøre Holme near Hvidovre, with the remaining three assets in Albertslund, Glostrup and Ishøj.

The portfolio is currently leased to a broad range of tenants, ranging from industrial companies to major transport and logistics firms. All properties have been well maintained by AKF, a developer, manager and operator of a sizeable portfolio of commercial and residential properties in Denmark with a particular focus on Greater Copenhagen.

The properties are divested to entities owned by Blackstone-managed funds.

Law firm Holst Advokater led by Anders Hedetoft, along with Colliers in collaboration with Cushman & Wakefield | RED acted as sell-side advisors to AKF.

CBRE, Bech-Bruun, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, PwC, Arcadis & Nova Ambiente acted on behalf of Blackstone.

AKF is pleased that it has been possible to find a buyer with extensive experience in the logistics sector:

“We are delighted to have found a buyer that is able to continue to develop and manage the portfolio. For AKF, the divestment entails a substantial liquidity boost, and we are therefore ready to venture into new, exciting projects,” says Ino Dimsits, CEO of AKF.

“We see very strong foreign investor appetite for the industrial and logistics market in Copenhagen and other major Danish cities. The sale of the AKF portfolio confirms that buyers continue to have conviction and invest capital into Denmark,” says Peter Winther, Executive Director and head of Colliers’ Capital Markets team.

Bo Stevnss, Partner with Cushman & Wakefield | RED adds, “We have enjoyed a smooth and constructive collaboration with AKF and Colliers. We congratulate Blackstone on the acquisition, wishing them the best of luck with the portfolio.”
