The lease is one of the most extensive that Prisma has signed with one and the same player on the Nordic market. Prisma has previously developed and completed Big Dollar in Holbaek, Hjörring and Fredrikshamn, and construction is currently underway in Randers, where Prisma is developing a total of 6,500 square meters of discount retail.

“We are proud to be an important partner in Big Dollar's impressive growth journey in Denmark. The scope of the agreements is a clear proof of our strength, where Prisma, through newly developed stores in strategic locations, strengthens the profitability of the leading low-price players in the Nordics,” says Carsten Krebs, CDO.

Big Dollar, which goes by the name Dollarstore in Sweden, currently has five stores in Denmark. The four new stores of 3,260 square meters each will be located in the following locations:

Thisted, 10-year lease. Planned start of construction in the fourth quarter of 2024, with an expected completion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Holstebro, 10-year lease. Ongoing detailed planning process with a preliminary construction start in the first quarter of 2025 and an expected completion in the first quarter of 2026.

Herning, 15-year lease. Ongoing detailed planning process with a preliminary construction start in the second quarter of 2025 and an expected completion in the third quarter of 2026.

Haderslev, 15-year lease. Ongoing detailed planning process with a preliminary construction start in the first quarter of 2025 and an expected completion in the first quarter of 2026.

“We are very happy that we are continuing our expansion in Denmark together with Prisma. Now Big Dollar will reach even more Danes and be able to offer a strong and wide range of goods at the cheapest possible price,” says Fredrik Holmström, Head Chief of Expansion at Big Dollar.
