The property will become an important part of strengthening Apotea's delivery capacity in Western Sweden. Within the property there is also an unused building right of approximately 11,000 square meters.

Järngrinden Logistikbyggnader AB is the contractor in the project and started construction in January 2024. Final inspection takes place in December 2024 and the buyer takes possession of the property in January 2025. The logistics center is being built according to Miljöbyggnad Silver and will have a large solar cell plant for sustainable energy use. The location in north-eastern Varberg near the E6 provides good transport opportunities and efficient distribution.

"We are pleased with the process of both the project and the sale, which has gone smoothly. This deal shows a continued stable interest in logistics properties in the region," says David Ekberg, Ekebeck.

"The sale of this logistics facility follows our strategy for the project and frees up resources for new development projects in logistics and other segments we are active in. We look forward to completing the project in the best way and wish Swiss Life and Apotea the best of luck in their collaboration in the property ," says Tobias Johannesson, CEO of Järngrinden.

"This transaction demonstrates that the market sentiment for logistics remains positive and that there is broad investor interest in high-quality products within the segment. Western Sweden stands out as a region where many investors, both domestic and international, want to continue to grow. Savills is grateful for the trust shown by the seller through the sales assignment, and also thanks Swiss Life for a good process," says Jakob Dingertz from Savills, who acted as advisor in the sale.
