The property consists of multiple buildings including a distribution centre (DC) built in stages between 1991-2015, as well as a brand-new DC, which was built earlier this year. The land plot spans 90,300 sqm and as part of the transaction NREP Logicenters will develop another DC taking up 12,145 sqm. The new development is already pre-let to DKI Logistics A/S.

”We are very satisfied with the acquisition of the property, which has a great location by the harbour and still close to the highway and Copenhagen. It is in line with our strategy to both develop and acquire modern prime logistics properties, and we look forward to further strengthen our position as a strategic partner for logistics companies by developing another modern logistics building. Beyond that, we are also happy to further expand our long-term cooperation with DKI Logistics as one of our key tenants”, comments Lars Hansen, Investment Manager at NREP Logicenters.

Matthias Kettelhoit, Commercial Head of NREP Logicenters, further adds: “With this transaction, NREP Logicenters once again proves the benefit from a consistent market presence and wide local network enabling us to source transactions. It is of great importance to NREP Logicenters to maintain our long, strategic relationships with tenants and other participants in the logistics industry.”

Preben Borregaard, Chairman of the board of DKI Logistics, comments: “We are pleased to build on our good and longstanding partnership with NREP Logicenters by expanding and consolidating our activities at the site on Værftsvej 10 in Køge Harbour. The transaction allows DKI Logistics to further expand our activities in the Greater Copenhagen area.”

The property was acquired by NREP Nordic Strategies Fund II, that mainly focuses on retail, logistics and residential properties in the Nordic region and is backed by a number of blue chip international institutional investors.
