The acquisitions fit well with the current portfolio and builds on the successful restructuring, which Kungsleden has undergone since 2013.
Kungsleden acquires the properties Hästvagnen 3 and Gefion 3 in Malmö as well as Översikten 6 and Översikten 9 in Jönköping. The properties are located in the established and strategically located retail areas Svågertorp, Jägersro and Solåsen.
The vendor is Alecta pensionsförsäkring, who had Bernstrom & Partners as advisors.
Following an active restructuring of the portfolio during the past two years, Kungsleden is today a new company with a focused and modernized property portfolio that has future potential.
Since the fall 2013, Kungsleden has divested non-strategic properties and acquired commercial properties in line with the strategy to a value of more than SEK 14 billion. (€1.5 billion) The total property value now amounts to SEK 23 bn (€2.5 billion), of which the urban portfolio in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö account for 53 percent.

Kungsleden continues to expand its property portfolio and the objective is to grow to SEK 25 billion (€2.7 billion) in order to reach a profit before tax of SEK 1-1.2 bn (€100 - 150 M) in year 2017. Over time the portfolio is about to grow to SEK 30 billion (€3.2 billion).
