The Lumijälki 2 project combines storage space, production facilities and office premises under one roof, including plenty of space for the parking and manoeuvring of heavy vehicles. The size of the site to be built in the Tuupakka logistics area at the heart of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area’s logistics operations is approximately 10,000 square meters. The real estate property is designed to meet the needs of three tenants. Two thirds of the real estate property’s premises have been leased, and long-term lease agreements will be concluded with the main tenants Geberit Oy and Fazer Food Services Oy.

“Lumijälki is an excellent addition to the logistics projects we have been building in Vantaa. Our previous construction projects include a new logistics centre for the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District in Vantaankoski. Our Pressi project, which is also underway in Vantaankoski, offers small-scale logistics facilities as well as office premises. Last summer on the opposite plot, we completed the construction of STC Pressi, which is a smart tech centre for wholesale trade and maintenance sector operators,” says Saku Kosonen, Unit Director at SRV.

The design, engineering and implementation of the Lumijälki 2 project takes into account the City of Vantaa’s environmental objective for becoming a resource-wise city, aimed at promoting well-being and sustainable development through the prudent and responsible use of natural resources. Sagax will also submit an application for BREEAM certification for the real estate property, which has quality criteria that support the above objective. The environmental certification has been developed for use as a framework and scorecard for next-generation green buildings.
