The strategic partnership between K-Fastigheter and Boklok, a company jointly owned by Skanska and IKEA, was initiated in April 2020 with the aim of developing building rights and affordable housing. The goal of the collaboration is to jointly build up to a thousand apartments over the next three years.
In Gävle, K-Fastigheter acquires part of the property Gävle Sätra 108:29 in northwest Gävle from the seller Skanska. The property has received a detailed development plan and building permits for 60 housing units, which will be constructed in accordance with Boklok’s concept and K-Fastigheter will own and manage the apartments.
“At the end of April we announced our plans to build four Apartment Blocks with a total of 88 apartments in the Strömsbro district and with today’s agreement for an additional 60 apartments in nearby Sätra, we will get a good property portfolio in Gävle,” says Jacob Karlsson, CEO of K-Fastigheter.
“It is gratifying that we can keep a high momentum in our collaboration, and extra gratifying is that we can do it in a time characterized by corona and general caution. We share K-Fastigheter's ambition to create attractive and affordable housing through a high degree of industrialization and look forward to being able to deliver 60 apartments for occupancy by the end of 2021,” says Niclas Bagler, Boklok Sweden’s manager.
The total rental value is estimated to amount to approximately SEK 6.8 million after the project has been completed.
