Mats Hederos, who has been active in AMF for 15 years, turns 65 in March 2022. He has now decided to leave the role of CEO of AMF Fastigheter, a position he has held since the real estate company was started in 2010, to retire. Mats Hederos will remain as CEO during the autumn.

"This is a decision that has matured over time. I have had very good and inspiring years at AMF Fastigheter, it feels natural to hand over when I reach retirement age in the spring. I am extremely proud of the journey that AMF Fastigheter has made as a company and that I, together with fantastically talented and committed employees, have been able to contribute to the development of Stockholm, including through MOOD District, Urban Escape, Epicenter and Space," says Mats Hederos.

AMF Fastigheter has had a very positive development since the company was founded a decade ago and today has a stable and strong position as one of Sweden's largest real estate companies. Mats Hederos has left his clear mark on the company and its core values.

"Mats has been of crucial importance for AMF Fastigheter's positive development and has at the same time been a much appreciated and skilled CEO and leader. We congratulate him and send a warm thank you to Mats for his efforts. We now have a solid foundation to build on. Under Thomas Erséus' leadership, the company is well positioned to take the next step in development," says Katarina Romberg, Chairman of the Board & Head of Alternative Investments at AMF.

Incoming CEO Thomas Erséus is today CEO of Almega and union director of Almega Tjänsteförbunden. Thomas has over 30 years of experience from the business world, of which 28 years as CEO. He has mainly been active in the IT, consulting and real estate industry and has previously held several senior positions in, among others, Ericsson AB, WSP and Kungsleden. Thomas has an academic background as a civil engineer in road and water with a degree from Chalmers University of Technology.

"AMF Fastigheter is an exciting and future-oriented company that I, as a board member, have worked with since 2020. I look forward to continuing that work next year in the role of CEO, as well as the restart that awaits after a challenging time in the wake of the pandemic. I feel both happy and humbled by the confidence to lead one of Sweden's largest real estate companies," says Thomas Erséus.
