Magnus Andersson, CEO Aros Bostad:

”The acquisition in Åkers styckebruk is the result of our strategy to expand Aros Bostad’s presence in the Greater Stockholm area. We are actively looking for new project development opportunities for both houses and apartments within an hour commuting distance by train from central Stockholm.”

Aros Bostad’s acquisition of 20 building rights corresponds to ca 2,300 sqm within the property Råcksta 2:3 in Åkers styckebruk. The deal also comprises the right to acquire another 40 building rights for detached houses within the area. Production start is estimated for Q2 2023. The seller is S. Property Group AB.

Åkers styckebruk is one of the oldest mill towns in the country, located about 45 minutes by train from Stockholm and a 10 minutes car journey away from Mariefred and Mälaren. The building rights are part of a large development area which will comprise ca 500 homes, pre-schools, schools and a shopping centre. The vision for the new area, Brobyholm, is to create a sustainable community with smart solutions and wooden buildings.
