The relocation means that Trygg-Hansa is co-locating five regional offices with a total of 1,000 employees. The 12,000 sqm lease is one of the biggest office leases in Sweden in the past year.
Kvartetten, Wihlborgs’ third office building in Hyllie, which is scheduled for completion in the beginning of 2023, is certified in accordance with Zero CO\2\, WELL and SGBC Miljöbyggnad Guld. The Zero CO\2 \certification aims to achieve a net climate impact of zero over the building’s entire lifecycle. The WELL system focuses both on soft and on hard values with the aim of improving people’s health and well-being.
“Our new offices in Hyllie enable us to bring together more than 1,000 of our employees in Malmö under one roof, which is an important milestone and a crucial success factor for our continued expansion after merging with Moderna Försäkringar. Wihlborgs previously signed an agreement with the co-working company Mindpark to elevate the experience and service at Kvartetten by, for example, staffing the reception and assisting with arranging events. The restaurant SPILL will open its second restaurant using a sustainable concept that is based on serving meals of high quality cooked with produce that would otherwise have been discarded.
The insurance industry has grown in Skåne, especially in Malmö in the most recent years. The proximity to Denmark and good access to students and a highly educated labour force are considered the underlying factors.
“Trygg-Hansa’s establishment in Kvartetten attests to the fact that there is a need for large offices in the region and that Hyllie is a sought-after area. Our two previous projects in the area are fully let, and now there is only 15 percent of lettable area remaining in Kvartetten. In 2022, we are starting our fourth project in Hyllie, Bläckhornet 1 (Vista), which will house approximately 17,000 sqm of offices and a large mobility hub,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
