The detailed development plan has been adopted by Hørsholm Municipal Council, which means that the project can commence.
The new school will include a primary and secondary school, international school and a preschool. The school will be three storeys totaling 11,600 m² in a module-like structure with roof terraces. This way, the building can be split up or expanded in the future as necessary. The building will be DNGB certified at the Gold level.
The school is close to several other Wihlborgs properties, including Slotsmarken 10-18.
“We’ve been satisfied with the excellent partnership with Wihlborgs throughout the entire process and look forward to continuing it for many years to come when we move in to our new school. The values and ideas concerning sustainability that Wihlborgs contributed to the project are well in line with NGG’s vision to develop the school of the future,” says Thomas Thrane, principal of NGG.
“This project is a significant and exciting step in Wihlborgs’ development. We are pleased that NGG and Hørsholm Municipality have placed their trust in us, and we look forward to contributing to an inspiring educational environment that is also a long-term investment in education and in the work life of tomorrow,” says Søren Holm, CEO of Wihlborgs A/S.
“We are now expanding our portfolio with a modern school that meets a high standard of function and sustainability. It will also be a positive addition to the entire local area,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
Ownership of the property transfers to Wihlborgs in December 2023 and construction is expected to be finished in the second half of 2025. The project entails an investment of DKK 260 million.
